Julia Stiles already had a tonne of acting experience when she played the lead in Gil Junger’s 10 Things I Hate About You. When she was 11 years old, she began performing with the La MaMa Theater Company in New York City. When her parents took her to Broadway shows when

she was younger, she became obsessed with theatre and chose to pursue it as a career.

Julia was born in 1981 in New York City into a family of academics and artists. The native New Yorker raised in a Soho apartment through the neighborhood’s transformation from an industrial wasteland to an artist community.

If you see a needle on the ground, there are various ways you can get help. If you had the courage, you could take it on yourself. But normally, you’d assign it to someone else. Your teacher would come retrieve it if you pointed it out.

Julia grew up in a decent household. Her mother, Judith Newcomb Stiles, worked as an artist in Greenwich Village, and her father, John O’Hara, was a primary school teacher.

Julia gained notoriety with the 1999 release of 10 Things I Hate About You after playing more supporting roles in a few more films like the romantic comedy I Love You, I Love You Not. Julia became one of Hollywood’s biggest actresses when she portrayed the rebel Kat Stratford with Heath Ledger.

Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew was adapted for the successful performance into a comedy about American high school life. Teen rom-coms were a popular genre in the 1990s, and many young, talented Hollywood actresses found success in them.

Kirsten Dunst, Kate Hudson, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Kate Hudson were a few of the famous people who battled against Julia. To get the part in 10 Things I Hate About You, she was adamant.

After reading the script and doing some study on Kat Stratford, Julia felt certain that she could play the part successfully. She was certain she could give Kat the depth missing from earlier portrayals. To land the job, Julia practised her demeanour and delivery. She wanted to make it clear that she was not afraid to express her opinions and stand up for herself.

Anyone who has seen the film may be able to instantly perceive the chemistry between Heath Ledger and Julia Roberts. It’s amazing that Ledger, an Australian native, even had the chance to play the character considering his accent. Because of his Australian accent, Ledger may have had an advantage over other actors who applied for the part.
