Luke Bryan Pulls His Videos From CMT: “Time For The Bud Light Treatment”

Luke Bryan has more than two dozen videos on Country Music Television (CMT) that earn the network tens of thousands of dollars per month. Or should we say “had.”

Standing in solidarity with his good friend Jason Aldean, Bryan notified CMT that he was pulling their license to use his material effective immediately. “Your network isn’t fit for my music,” he reportedly told Executive Vice President Joe Barron, “Until you reinstate Jason’s video and issue him a formal apology, you get nothing from my label.”

The action is prompting others in the country community to do the same. Sources say Toby Keith is next in line, with others considering it as well.

“We have to stick together like we did with Bud Light and Target,” said Bryan,” and we will prevail once again.”

The issue began when Aldean released the video to a song that had been out for a few months. In the lyrics, Aldean talks about small-town life and how dangerous it would be for minorities to show up there to have a race riot or rob a convenience store. In no way, shape, or form does it condone violence, according to the people whose adrenaline levels doubled after seeing the imagery unfold.

ALLOD Correspondent Cynthia Luhu went to the small town Aldean grew up in, Macon, Georgia, which is actually a pretty big place at the crossroads of two major interstates. With a population of about 150K people and a crime rate double the national average for both violent and property crimes, it’s no wonder he wanted out. So he moved to a 1400-acre palatial estate 60 miles outside of Nashville that’s basically the size of a small town, so there’s that.

Aldean is a true American hero for exposing that small-town life is something people with no clue what it’s like will strive to protect, for some reason, and Luke Bryan is a saint for supporting him. God Bless America.
